do_or_dine(Brooklyn, New York – November, 2014) Justin Warner, Co-owner of Bed-Stuy’s famous Do or Dine restaurant competed on the Food Network’s ‘Cutthroat Kitchen Superstars’ and generously donated his winnings to Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger (BSCAH). BSCAH is a local charitable organization that operates the largest emergency feeding program in the entire city and provides an array of wrap-around services to families in need.

Justin has become one of BSCAH’s biggest ambassadors by regularly tweeting about BSCAH to his more than 25,000 followers. His advocacy has increased awareness of BSCAH’s work and impact and inspired many new friends and donors. “Bed-Stuy is my home. I love the community, the food, the culture, the music – everything that makes Bed-Stuy a very special place. The show afforded me the opportunity to highlight an amazing charity organization that is doing extraordinary work in my community.”

For his dedication and kindness, BSCAH is honoring Justin with the very first ‘Harvest Hero of the Year’ award at the organization’s ” Be a Hero and Fight Hunger’ holiday fundraiser on November 18 in Brooklyn.

“Chefs and restaurateurs work diligently to nourish people every day. Justin’s selfless act helps us to not only feed and nourish needy families, but also to provide valuable resources to assist individuals living in poverty,” says Dr. Melony Samuels, Founder and Executive Director of Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger.
